Ruby L. Mizer, 89, of Wooster, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2025, at her daughter’s home in Wooster.
She was born December 22, 1935, in Gilstrap, Kentucky, to Estill and Lydia (Smith) Daugherty.
Ruby married Leo E. Mizer on November 16, 1956. She worked at Bell & Howell for 23 years until her health began to decline. She was a member of Grace Church and enjoyed attending country music concerts and traveling to Nashville, Tennessee, with her son and daughter. Ruby was also an avid baseball fan, especially of the Cleveland Guardians.
She will be missed dearly by her son, Douglas E. Mizer, and daughter, Brenda L. Mizer, both of Wooster, who loved her deeply. The family also extends special thanks to Bob, whose help and support meant so much to Ruby and was sincerely appreciated.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 7 sisters and 3 brothers.
Friends may call Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home (and livestreamed at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com/obituaries/Ruby-Mizer) with Pastor Eric Fairhurst officiating.
