Susan Mae Mellott

Susan Mae Mellott, 75, of Burbank, died Monday, December 18, 2023 at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare.

Susan was born June 9, 1948 in Wooster, Ohio to Eugene and Leona {Kauffman} Short.

She graduated from Wooster High School in 1966.

She married George Nelson Mellott on August 10, 1967. He died August 10, 2013.

Susan worked for the Wooster Community Hospital and retired from Lowes in 2013. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary Catholic Church. Susan was a member of Catholic Daughters of America and enjoyed gardening and reading.

Susan will be deeply missed by her children Jennifer Morgan, Lisa (Michael D.) Malcomb both of Wooster, Brian (Jessica) Mellott of Bluffton, S.C., Dustin (Stephanie) Mellott of Akron; grandchildren Karissa, Caleb, Devon, Kaden, Liam, Connor and Oliver; great-grandchildren Aniya, Kailani, Kyleigh; brother Russell Short of TX.

Susan was preceded in death by her husband and infant son Joseph.

Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 2 p.m. at St Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (and livestreamed at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com/obituaries/Susan-Mellott) with Father Stephen Moran officiating.
