Marie Looney Humble Sells

Agnes Marie Looney Humble Sells, age 88, was born in Red Jacket, W.Va. on May 9, 1935. A coal miner and farmer’s daughter passed from this earthly life to enter Eternity, the Kingdom of Heaven, on April 3, 2024, at her home in Apple Valley, Howard, Ohio.   Her soul is with Jesus Christ Messiah. She has received Salvation as a part of the Christian Church of Christ, a baptized believer.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Bence J.B. Looney 1895-1985, Alice Vada Woodward Looney 1905-1988, brothers John Ed Looney, Don Looney, Larry Looney and brother-in-law Arthur (Bea) Whaley, son Keith Humble 1961-2021, Husbands Ralph Humble 1926-1999, Henry Sells 1932-2015, stepchildren Raymond Sells and Teresa Sells. 

She will be grieved by her children, Thomas Humble, Vada Humble Hay, Jeff Humble w/Michelle Panik, her stepchildren, Joan Sells, Greg Sells and Missy Sells, many grand and great-grandchildren.  Marie will also be missed by her surviving siblings Clinton Looney, Bea Looney Whaley, Venus Looney Bee w/Joe Bee, Rita Looney Pinney w/Dave Pinney, June Looney Hall w/Darrell Hall as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.

She attended Grundy Church of Christ, Vansant Church of Christ, Westhill Church of Christ, Bradford Pomroy Church of Christ, Grayson Church of Christ, Gallipolis Church of Christ, Hilliard Church of Christ, Linden Church of Christ, Northeast Church of Christ, Minerva Park Church of Christ, Beechwold Christian Church of Christ, Westerville Christian Church of Christ, Worthington Christian Church of Christ, Howard Christian Church of Christ, Danville Church of Christ, Millwood Church of Christ, Victory Church of Christ.  

Grateful thanks goes to Riverside Methodist Hospital, the Laurels Medical Rehab, the Country Club Medical Rehab and Knox Community Hospital doctors, nurses and staff for 25 years of dedication to her wellness.  Thanks to Roberts Funeral Home for their assistance.

Memorial Celebration of LIfe will be held on May 18th, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Hilliard Church of Christ, 4300 Avery Rd, Hillard, OH 43026  Minister Danny Vanscoy Officiating.   Burial will be later at the Fairview Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, 5035 Columbus Pike State Route 23, Delaware, OH 43015
