Albert Harms

August 18, 1923 — February 15, 2013

Albert Harms, 89, of Wadsworth, passed away on February 15, 2013 at Pleasant View Care Center in Barberton. He was born on August 18, 1923 in Akron to Albert Ray and Rhoda (Warner) Harms. Albert served in WWII in the U. S. Army as a track vehicle mechanic and had been an employee of Wadsworth Match Co., and as an electrician at Ford Motor Co. He also was a radio announcer for local stations. He married Hillous Thomas and she preceded him in March of 1998. Albert was a member of The First Christian Church of Medina and a member of the Circle of Friends Club through Medina County Hospice.

Albert is survived by his sister Leal (Clyde) Brenstuhl and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, sister Dorothy Palmer and brother Michael Harms preceded him in death.

Graveside services will be Monday, March 4 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Seville at 11:00 a.m. where military rites will be held.
