Alexis “Lexi” Dawn Coleman, 16, of Wooster, died Monday, August 19 at the Wooster Community Hospital.
Services will be Saturday at 1 pm at the Mt. Zion Church of God with Pastor Tom Geissinger officiating. Friends may call from 11 am to 1 pm at the church. Roberts Funeral Home – Sherwood Chapel, Wooster is handling arrangements. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster.
Alexis was born September 3, 2002 in Wooster to Andrew and April {Ingersoll} Coleman. Alexis attended Wooster High School and was preparing to start her Junior year at the Wayne County Schools Career Center studying to become a Medical Assistant. She loved music, playing clarinet in the band, and was a member of the Wooster High School Girls Bowling team. Alexis loved to draw, always had a smile on her face, and had a wonderful sense of humor. She loved spending time with her friends and family.
She was a member of Mt. Zion Church of God, where she was active in the youth activities. Alexis was also loved by Grace Church, where she attended youth group on Sunday evenings.
Alexis will be deeply missed by her parents of Wooster; sister Abigail and brother Aiden, both of the home; maternal grandfather James “Pappy” Ingersoll of Wooster; paternal grandparents Laurel (Gerry) King of West Salem and Mike (Barbara) Coleman of Houston, Tx; aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Alexis was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Dottie “Mimi” Ingersoll.
