Alice Anderson

Alice Sylvia Anderson, 82, of West Salem, died Friday, December 14, 2018 at the Cleveland Clinic.

Friends may call Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.  Services will follow at 11 a.m. at the church with Pastors Stephen Olsen and Mark Barrios officiating.  Burial will be held at a later date at West Alexander Cemetery.   Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.   Memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Mission Fund at P.O. Alice was born April 29, 1936 in West Alexander, PA to Ernest H. and Lula {Harris} Russell.

She married Roy W. Anderson on April 29, 1954.

Alice helped on the family farm and home. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and played the organ. Alice was also a member of the Gideon’s Auxiliary. She was known by many as a faithful prayer warrior.

Alice will be deeply missed by her husband of 64 years; children Richard (Dianne) Anderson of Staunton, VA, Sylvia Kathryn (Andrew) Crafton of Guam, Tim (Karen) Anderson of West Salem, Mary (Mark) Johnson of Galion; grandchildren Richard (Brittany) Anderson II, Matthew (Laura) Anderson, Megan (Paul) Hagseth, Michael and Jennifer Anderson, Cameron (Sara), Chris (Samantha), Colton, Corey, and Chad Johnson; great-grandchildren Katie, Reagan, and Luke Anderson, Clara Hagseth, Noah, Oakley, Chloe, Casen, and RayLynn Johnson; great great-grandchildren Jeremih and Justus Cassell.

Alice was preceded in death by her sister Lois Miller.
