Andrew Thaddeus DeVincent, 54, of Wooster, died Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Wooster Community Hospital.
Memorial services will be Friday at 12 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster with Father Steve Moran officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to People to People Ministries at 454 E. Bowman St. Wooster, OH 44691.
Andrew was born November 6, 1961 in Dayton to Pat and Mary DeVincent.
He served in the 82nd Airborne Division of the United States Army. Andrew loved walking and exploring nature. During his high school career, Andy was an avid soccer player and wrestler. The highlight of his soccer career was scoring the winning goal off a header in the state championship game. His friends and coach will fondly remember him as "Sparkplug".
Andrew will be deeply missed by his parents of Sequim, Washington; brothers Marc (Teri) DeVincent and David (Beth) DeVincent; sisters Mary Turner, Sabina (Mark) Shaneyfelt, Valerie (Jeff) Kemmer; Piper Davidson, former wife of David DeVincent, and many nieces and nephews. The family would also like to give special thanks to the ICU staff at Wooster Community Hospital.
