Anthony DalPra

Anthony “Tony” DalPra, 90, of Wooster, died Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at West View Healthy Living.

Private family celebration of life services will take place at a later date with Pastor Kristina Heise officiating, where military rites will be held. Tony was born October 8, 1928 in Cleveland, Ohio to Antonio and Lucia {Veronese} DalPra.

He graduated from John Adams High School. Tony was then drafted and served in the US Army during the Korean War.

He married Katherine Gbur on November 27, 1954. She died January 13, 2018.

Tony worked construction as a member of the Carpenters Union Local 21. He and his wife owned and operated DalPra’s General Store in Lattasburg in the 1960’s. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in NV. Tony enjoyed watching all Cleveland sports, fishing, playing cards, gardening and traveling. He was devoted to attending his grandkids and great-grandkids sporting and school events.

Tony’s legacy will live on through his children Deb (Randy) Elser, Veronica (Dennis) Derflinger and Tony (Jane) DalPra all of Wooster; grandchildren Angela (James) Yarwood, Chad (Heidi) Elser, Rachel (Bryan) Wilhelmy, Candice (John) Storey, Nate (Autumn) Tooley, Brad (Angel) Derflinger, Chelsea DalPra, Hailey (Paul) Hauter, Cameron (Justin) Binegar; 14 great-grandchildren.

Tony was preceded in death by his wife, great-grandson Blake, brothers Ed, Al, Mario and sisters Lucille DalPra and Eleanor Goliat.
