Arizona McKinney

Arizona Boyd McKinney, 89, passed from this earthly life to eternal life with our Lord on December 29th. 2024. She was born in Floyd Co., Ky to the late Alex and Sula Boyd on February 26, 1935. Being the eldest of six children she had a hard yet happy life growing up in a two-room log home.

She was preceded in death by all of her siblings. She enjoyed working and held several jobs during her lifetime. She loved to garden and grow flowers. She always had a dog for a pet which she treated as a loving companion.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her life was a testament of her love for her family. Left to cherish her memory, Arizona is survived by 3 children Mike (Patty) McKinney of Louisville Ky, Cindy (Sam), and Kimberly of Ashland OH; 9 grandchildren; Brent, Brandi, Jody, Jerry, Tiffany, Jeordan, Broc, Titus, Braxton. And many Great grandchildren.

A resident of LSS the Good Shepherd Nursing Home for almost 3 years, a special thank you is extended to the staff for their care, understanding, and support. The family is also very grateful for the care provided by the staff of Amedisys Hosparus. 

Friends may visit Friday from 12 to 2pm at Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel. Services will follow at 2 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
