Arthur Rick Byrd

Arthur “Rick” Byrd, 73, of Apple Creek, died Saturday July 6, 2024, at the Cleveland VA Medical Center.

Rick was born May 3, 1951, in Evarts, KY to Harold and Martha {McDaniel} Byrd. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. 

He married Kathi Miller on June 14, 1974. Rick worked for Gerstenslager Company from 1973-1986 then retired from Volvo.

Rick will be deeply missed by his daughter Tonya (Randy) Myers of Wooster; grandson Brandon M. (fiancé Macala McQuillan) Myers; great-grandchildren Paytin and Jaiden Myers, and Raina McQuillan; brother Gary (Sherry) Byrd of Wooster.

Rick was preceded in death by his wife Kathi, his parents, and brother Bobby Byrd.

Friends may call Wednesday July 10 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home (and livestreamed at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com/obituaries/Arthur-Byrd) , where military rites will be held.
