Barbara Martin

Barbara A. Martin, 81, of Wooster, formerly of Ashland, died Saturday, May 22, 2021 at LifeCare Hospice, in Wooster.

Barbara was born September 23, 1939 in Richwood, WV to Jesse James and Dorothy Mabel {Hartley} Querry.

She married Robert “Bob” E. Martin on July 8, 1961.  He died in 2010.

Barbara worked for a vending machine company, had been a cashier, and retired from Hawkins Market in the Bakery.  She was a member of the Ashland Full Gospel Church. She enjoyed vacationing, especially watching the Ocean with her sister, and loved shopping.

Barbara will be deeply missed by her children, Vickie (Scott) Sours of Wooster, and Robert M. (Janet) Martin of Ashland; grandchildren Joshua (Charmin) Schoonover, Clayton (Stacy) Martin, Jennifer Reynolds, Mark Schoonover, Crystal Garrett, Jennie Cameron, Danielle (Alex) Baker, Benjamin A., Ashley, Logan and Zack Martin; great-grandchildren Kirk, Jordiyn, Kelsey, Kaleigh, Stephan, Gage, Christian, Carson, Chloe, Noah, and Hannah Beck, and Kaicen Schoonover; three great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters Eura Olsen and Carolyn Lutz.

In addition to her husband, Bob, Barbara was preceded in death by her son Ricky Martin, a brother Delbert Querry and a sister Darlela Hockenberry.
