Barbara Sharon Ahrens

Barbara “Sharon” Ahrens, 74, of Wooster, died March 21, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Sharon was born August 16, 1949 in Bluefield, WV to Ernest Rudolph and Edith Roberta {Doyle} Blackburn.

Sharon graduated from Wooster High School in 1967.

She married Duane Ahrens on December 20, 1969. 

Sharon worked at the Wooster Christian Schools for many years. She attended Grace Church for over 25 years. Sharon loved quilting, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren. 

Sharon will be deeply missed by her children Eric (Missy) Ahrens of Wooster, Jennifer (Mike) Englehaupt of Las Vegas, NV, Jason (Kelly) Ahrens of Wooster, Mark (Mei) Ahrens of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren Eric Jr., Robert, Tyler, Abby, Mackenzi, Trent, Brayden, Liam, and Holly; great-grandchildren Jase, Charlotte, Sophia, Avery, and Jett; sisters Deborah (Charles) Goins and Melissa Pertee. 

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband Duane Ahrens.

Friends may call Tuesday March 26 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Funeral services will be Wednesday March 27 at 11 a.m. at Grace Church (and livestreamed at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com/obituaries/Barbara-Ahrens) with Pastor Bob Fetterhoff officiating.
