Barbara Martin

Barbara Ann Martin, 67, of Ashland, died Sunday, May 20, 2018 at her residence.

Barbara was born December 6, 1950 in New London to Elmer and Dorothy {Knuth} Cook.

She married Lyle V. Martin on May 27, 1978.

Barbara worked at Job and Family Services in the unemployment offices. She was a member of Rochester Baptist Church. Barbara enjoyed playing cards and attending garage sales and thrift stores. She loved to watch hummingbirds and collect hummingbird figurines.

Barbara will be deeply missed by her husband of 40 years; children Ryan Briggs of Vienna, MO, Burton (Colleen) Briggs of Polk and Jonathan (Dannielle) Martin of Nova; step-children Michelle (Fred) West of Salome, AZ and Timothy Martin of Mansfield; 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers John (Ona) Cook of Dallas, TX and Donald (Carol) Cook of Columbus.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, daughter and granddaughter Marina and Kaylynn Milligan, and a brother Allen Cook.

Services will be Thursday at 6 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel, Ashland with Pastor Arthur Conrad officiating.
