Barbara Ridgway

Barbara Maxine Ridgway, 91, of Wooster, died Monday, April 18, 2022, at Wayne County Care Center.

Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster is assisting the family. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 am at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Barbara was born April 19, 1930, in Burbank, Ohio to Clarence and Emma {Wilde} Mann.

She graduated from Mount Eaton High School.

She married Dale Robert Ridgway on April 19, 1986. He died April 12, 2008.

Barbara was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ. She was a volunteer at Wooster Community Hospital and was a member of the Wooster Moose Lodge. Barbara loved watching her grandchildren play sports and sewing and playing cards.

Barbara will be deeply missed by her children Cheryl (Roger) Seitz of Coshocton, Charla (Dan) Higbee of Grand Rapids, MI, Charles (Ann) Daugherty of South Port, N.C., Charleton (Donna) Daugherty of West Salem; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother Walter (Cindy) Mann; sisters Dorothy Maynard, Alice Stanko, Lois Vaubel; sister-in-law Marianne Mann.

Barbara was preceded in death by her first husband Charles Daugherty Jr., and Dale Robert Ridgway, daughter Cathy Hartman and grandson Marty Airwyke.
