Barbara Turner

Barbara 'Betty' Turner passed away peacefully on May 14th.  She was born in Nurnberg, Germany on Jan 11, 1931.  After spending her early years growing up in post war Germany, she married the love of her life, Z C Turner, a carrier American Army man.  With him she traveled and lived in many parts of the world.  Her favorite was probably Oahu, Hawaii where the family enjoyed a year of tropical paradise.

When her husband retired from the Army they decided that, of all the places they had lived, Marietta was the best place to settle.   Betty enjoyed the next forty or so years as a happy resident of Marietta.   She was an avid reader and could always be found with a book in her hand.  In her later years she also enjoyed knitting.

She is survived by her son John and his wife Heidi, and her sister Elizabeth Tymchak.

Funeral service will be Friday, May 18th at 11 a.m. with Pastor Myron Guiler officiating, at Roberts Funeral Home- East Lawn Chapel, 27880 St. Rt. 7, Marietta 45750, where the family will greet friends from 10 until the time of the service. Interment will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park.
