Betty L. (Davis) Alley, 80, of Rittman, went home to be with The Lord on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at her residence in Wadsworth.
Betty was born January 6, 1934 in Wayne, West Virginia to Walter and Herma {Thacker} Davis.
She married William (Bill) H. Alley on February 23, 1957 and they were married 57 years.
Betty was a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed teaching the Junior Girls Sunday School class. She loved sewing, gardening, raising flowers and canning from her garden. She babysat, did foster care, was an Avon representative and was a former employee of Apple Creek State Hospital and Creston Rest Home. Betty was a member of the Liberty Free Will Baptist Church
Betty will be deeply missed by her husband, Bill; sons David and Daniel both of Wadsworth; 6 grandchildren Elizabeth (Joey) Fetzner, Seth (Dana) Alley, and Joseph, Anna, Sarah, and Caleb Alley all of Kansas City, MO, 3 great grandchildren Cierra and Jackson Alley and Connor Fitzner; brothers Bill (Violet) Davis and Joe (Wilma) Davis all of Wooster, sister Joyce Reynolds of Prichard W. Va. And sister in law Norma Jean Wilson-Davis of Brink Haven, FL Betty was preceded in death by her brother Jack Davis of Rittman and brother in law William Reynolds of Prichard W. VA.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Cecil Farmer and Pastor Michael Decker officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Hillcrest memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to a church or charity of donor's choice.
