Betty June Anderson, 87, of Ashland, died Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Brookwood Place Nursing Home, in Ashland.
Betty was born September 25, 1927 in West Salem, Ohio to Arleigh Lester Sr. and Mabel Bell {Weltmer} Cooper.
She married Richard Wayne Anderson on November 21, 1946. He passed in November of 2008.
Betty worked for the Ashland County Title Office for 20 years. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church "Faith Circle" and of the American Legion Aux. Betty was a foster parent and enjoyed volunteering her time at Dale Roy and Hospice of North Central Ohio.
Betty will be deeply missed by her children Steven W. (Deb) Anderson, Eric P. (Sharon) Anderson both of Ashland, and Matthew G. (Rita) Anderson of Lexington; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two brothers Arleigh Jr. (Loretta) Cooper and Raymond (Betty Jo) Cooper; two sisters Esther (Robert) McCormic and Beverly (Dave) Berry.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, of 62 years, daughter Rebecca Anderson and brother Kenneth Cooper.
Friends may call Saturday, May 23, 2015 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church. Services will follow at 11 a.m. at the church with Pastor Karen Links officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Ashland County Memorial Park.
