Betty Cunningham

Betty Jean Cunningham, 86, of Marengo, passed away, with her kids at her side, Wednesday, January 28, 2021, at Morrow Manor Nursing Center, in Chesterville.

Betty was born May 4, 1934, in Athens County, Ohio to William and Sarah Ann {McClelland} Lewis.

Betty’s life truly began when she met Kenneth “Bud” D. Cunningham Sr.

She married Bud on December 25, 1950. Betty and Bud enjoyed over fifty years together, before he passed on June 2, 2001.

Betty loved nothing more than helping others. Betty was a member of Sparta United Methodist Church. She also spent time as an aid at Morrow Manor.  Above all else, Betty always put her own family first.

Betty will be deeply missed by her children Rick (Tabbe) Cunningham of Newark, and Sue Cunningham - Vamos of Marengo; grandchildren Megan, Brittany, Rick Jr., Tina, Michele (Chet), Thomas (Jessica), Buddy (Roni), and Kristina; great-grandchildren Jaxon, Trenton, Addison, Chloe, Tres, Delaney, Antonio, Taylor, Madison, Seth, Jessie, Jonathon, Levi, and Hunter; great-great-grandchildren Ashtur, and Geneva; and more extended family.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, her son Kenneth D. Cunningham Jr., and her sisters Norma and Pauline.
