Betty Lea Smith, 74, of Wooster, died Monday June 8, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her loving family, after persevering through years of health challenges.

Betty was born December 5, 1940 in Sistersville, WV, daughter of the late Haymon and Vonda {Morrison} Smith.
She married John T. Smith on August 8, 1959.
Betty was a loving, treasured wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to host her family for gatherings with enough food for all and plenty to send home at the end of the day. Betty was the office manager at Riggle Brothers in Wooster for over 30 years. She enjoyed taking trips, long or short with her husband and spending as much time as possible with family. Betty loved watching all her grandson's play sports and rarely missed a game.
Betty will be deeply missed by her husband, John, of 55 years; children Lori (Owen) Hostetler and Lisa (Scott) Keener both of Orrville, and Chris (Ron) Lukezic of Wooster; grandchildren Jason (Sara) Hostetler, Seth Hostetler, Kyle and Jared Keener, Jonny and Tyler Pertee, Alex, Ronnie and Christine Lukezic and 9 great grandchildren; sisters Jeanne (Dallas) Purdum of Wooster and Lynda (William) Croft of North Carolina.
Betty was preceded in death by her brothers Charles and Allan Smith.
