Bonnie Thompson

Bonnie Jean Thompson, 89, of Wooster, died Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Smithville Western Care Center.

Bonnie was born May 21, 1934, in Wooster to Walter E. and Mildred {Shoup} Franks.

She married John E. Thompson on January 28, 1951. He died in 2010. 

Bonnie worked in the cafeteria at Oak Street School for 22 years, retiring in 1967.

She was a member of the Christ United Church of Christ in Orrville and enjoyed cooking and baking cut out cookies and spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters.

Bonnie will be deeply missed by her children Michael J. (Sherri) Thompson of Winter Park, Florida and Charles Thompson of Wooster; grandchildren Kiley Cook and Haley (Prescott) Hughes; and a great-grandson Colson Cook.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, John, daughter Juanita, and siblings Jenny Clevidence, Robert Franks, and Louise Simons.

Friends may call Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Services will follow at 11a.m. at the funeral home (and livestreamed below) with Rev.
