Bruce E. Morehead, 88, of Wadsworth, died Wednesday January 15, 2014, from complications of pneumonia.
He was born on November 11, 1925 in Perry County, Ohio to Bruce and Bessie (King) Morehead. He served in the US Air Force during WWII. He then attended Ohio University where he graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Education. He taught mechanical drawing for Brunswick and Wadsworth School Systems. He retired in 1985 from Wadsworth City Schools after 30 years. He was a lifelong member of the
Wadsworth United Methodist Church. He enjoyed spending his years of retirement gardening, working outdoors, and watching his grandchildren and great- grandchildren grow.
He was proceeded in death by his son, Timothy; grandson, Travis; 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 69 years, Marilyn (Driver) Morehead; son, Jeffrey (Pam)Morehead; daughter -in-law, Roxanne Morehead; grandchildren Wendy(Dan)Kissinger, Kelly(Josh) McCall, Tracey (Mark) Prudence, and Christine Morehead; great grandchildren, Ben and Nick Kissinger, Allison and Katelyn McCall, and Mason Prudence.
Friends may call Monday, January 20, 2014 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, Seville. Memorial services will be Monday, January 20, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Don Ebert officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be held.
