Carl Richard Middleswart

Carl R. Middleswart, 81, of Marietta, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on February 21, 2025 surrounded by his family at Marietta Memorial Hospital. Carl was born in Marietta on November 21, 1943 to Charles and Ruby Middleswart. Retiring as a senior manufacturing engineer after 58 years as an employee of Thermo Fisher Scientific, Carl was known by all who worked with him as the guy who could fix anything. He was an active member of Twin Rivers Baptist Church and loved his church family. Above all, he loved his kids, grandkids and the great-grandkids. 

On September 26, 1965 he married his loving wife Christine L. Noland of Newport who survives with three daughters: Tracey (Calvin) Huck, Jamey (Steve) Erb and Mindy (Scott) Ondera; grandchildren Tyler (Hannah) Smith, Isaac (Sydney) Erb, Rachel (Lucas) Moore, Wyatt Erb, Emmitt Ondera and Owen Ondera; great-grandchildren Olive Smith, Ruby Smith, Hudson Erb and Maddox Moore. Carl is also survived by his youngest sister, Janet Mincks. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Frances Noland, along with many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother Frank, sisters Shirley Karcher, Charlotte Douthitt and Carol Stevens. 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 25 at 1:00 pm at Roberts Funeral Home, 27880 St. Rt. 7, Marietta with Pastor Jeff Baumer officiating and burial following in East Lawn Memorial Park. Family will greet friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 5-8 and from 11-1 on Tuesday before the service.
