Carol A. {Murphy} Clift, 67, of Newport, died Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born August 3, 1950 in Marietta to George R. Murphy and Ruby Henrietta Tice Murphy Brown.
She graduated from Marietta High School.
She married David Clift on March 2, 1985.
She enjoyed her grandchildren and spending time with family
Carol will be deeply missed by her husband David; children April
(Will) Lindsey, Todd (Melissa) Uppole; grandchildren Trevor Null, Bryce Nyswaner and Pamela Uppole; mother Ruby Murphy Brown; brothers Jim Murphy, Roger (Maryann) Murphy, Mike Murphy; sister Cindy (Edwin) Murphy Stewart.
Carol was preceded in death by her father George R. Murphy; sister Cathy Murphy Fairbanks; father-in-law Berl L. Clift.
Friends may call Sunday, October 29th from 4 to 7 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-East Lawn Chapel, 27880 St. Rt. 7, Marietta. Funeral services will be Monday at 11 AM at the funeral home. Entombment will be at East Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
