Carolyn L Thornton, 75, of Wooster, died Monday, April 17, 2017 at Akron City Hospital.
Services will be Friday at 2 pm at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 77 S. Summit St., Smithville with Rev. Kristy Buyok officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Seville. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Carol was born May 4, 1941 in Akron to Charles and Marion {Daniels} Rusk.
She married Paul Thornton on May 18, 1957. He survives.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Carolyn will be deeply missed by her husband of 60 years, Paul; children Paul Jr. of Akron and Roger (Jackie) of Cincinnati, daughter-in-law Denise Thornton of Akron; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and a brother Paul (Arlene) Rusk of Akron.
Carolyn was preceded in death by a son Charles Thornton and a brother George Rusk.
