Charles Edward File Sr., 72, of Girard, died Sunday, March 23, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Health Center, in Youngstown.
Memorial services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Pineview Memorial Park in Warren. Burial will be at Pineview Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Roberts Funeral Home.
Charles was born September 29, 1941 in Youngstown to Adam and Mazie {Cochran} File.
He married Joan Marie (Burns) on November 23, 1963.
Charles worked at General Motors for 28 years. He enjoyed playing cards with friends and spending time with his family.
Charles will be deeply missed by his wife, Joan, of 50 years; children Charles (Christine) File Jr. of Cortland, Thomas (Elizabeth) File of Girard and William N. File Sr. of Cortland; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers Paul (Wilma) File of Vienna and Menard File of Howland; sisters Bertha Longstrength and Alice Smith.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents.
