Charles Max Longsdorf, 93, of Lodi, died Thursday, August 31 at Southwest General Health Center, in Middleburg Heights.
Friends may call Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, Seville. Funeral services will follow, at 11:00 a.m.at the funeral home with Rev. Diane Bell officiating. Max was born October 18, 1923 in Lodi to Charles and Donna {Phillips} Longsdorf.
He was a graduate of Westfield High School, and served in the United States Navy.
He married Edna Mae Flath on December 31, 1944. She passed on July 27, 2000. He then married Norma R.M. Querin August 4, 2001. She passed on April 21, 2011.
Max was a lifelong carpenter, and was a member of Congregational Church of Lodi, and the United Methodist Church of Lodi. He loved square dancing, woodworking, and camping.
Max will be deeply missed by his children Curtis Longsdorf of Seville, Carol (Forest) King of Creston, Connie Jones of Shelby, Bonnie Querin of Lodi, Barbara (Ralph) Godell of Denver Colorado, and Betty (Jerry) Smith of Sylvania; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Max was preceded in death by his spouses, as well as two brothers, and two sisters.
