Charles F. Shooks, 81, of Wadsworth, died Monday, February 5, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Charles was born July 22, 1936 in Cleveland to Charles and Elizabeth {Zampicoli} Shooks.
He served in the U.S. Army where he patrolled the German Wall.
He married Sue Wilkins on April 4, 1981.
Charles retired from J.C. Whitlam Manufacturing Co. after 20 years. He was a member of Northside Christian Church in Wadsworth. Charles enjoyed watching movies, listening to music and serving his church in any way he could. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his children.
Charles will be deeply missed by his wife of 37 years; children Rebecca Shooks of Mansfield and Brian (Tara) Shooks of Stow; niece Carol (Michael) Miner of Palm City, FL.
Charles was preceded in death by his son Charles L. Shooks and four siblings.
Services will be Thursday, February 15th at 7 p.m. at Northside Christian Church of Wadsworth with Pastor Ernie Graf officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 6 to 7 p.m. A private inurnment will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be held.
