Charles "Charlie" D. Winstead, Jr., 72, of Ashland, Ohio, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio, following a brief illness.
Charlie was born September 20, 1944 in Pontiac, Michigan to Charles D. Winstead, Sr. and Alice Katherine (Brustik) Winstead.
Charlie served in the United States Army before settling in Ashland, Ohio and going to work at the Faultless Rubber Company. Charlie was an avid motorcycle enthusiast. He also competed in several tattoo competitions. Charlie retired from Faultless (Abbott Labs) in 2002, after 32 years.
Charlie will be deeply missed by his fiancé, Patricia L. Snyder; son, Keith (Pam) Winstead; grandchildren, Matthew, Brittany, Olivia and Ashley Winstead; great-granddaughter, Emmalynn Winstead; mother, Alice K. Bell; brothers, Mike (Susan) Schott, Rob Schott, Jimmy Bell; sisters Linda Dean, Michele Anderson, and Kristina Bell.
Charlie was preceded in death by his father and his daughter, Tricia-Rose Webster.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, October 26, 2016 @ 3 p.m. at Ashland County Memorial Park. Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park, where military rites will be held.
