Cheryl Darlene McCarty

Cheryl Darlene McCarty, 73, of Mount Vernon, OH, passed Sunday November 27, 2022, at Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon after a long battle with cancer.

Cheryl was born October 30, 1949, in Columbus, OH to Douglas and Violet Ruth {Sands} Walp.

Cheryl graduated from Columbus West High School and Nationwide School of Cosmetology and was licensed.  She recently worked for Knox Community Hospital.  She loved movies of all kinds and reading hundreds of Danielle Steele novels.  She liked to shop and then gardening then shopping and reading then shop and shop again. She crocheted, knitted, and loved crafting. 

Cheryl will be deeply missed by her daughter Heidi McCarty; grandchildren Taylor +Poole, Tanner Poole and Dakota Robbins and her great-grandson Wyatt Poole. 

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers John and Douglas Walp.
