Christopher Bodie DelSavio passed away tragically at the young age of 30, on Monday May 23rd, 2022 unexpectedly at his residence.
Chris was born March 3, 1992 in Medina, Ohio to David and Jennifer {DelSavio} Shafer. He graduated from Wooster High School. During his youth he had developed a passion for working on cars, which in turn fueled his love for travel, always looking for his next adventure. He wanted to explore the world and what it had to offer with his beautiful daughter Mia Delsavio. Christopher had a wonderful way with words, and was bound to put a smile on your face if you met him. He had the biggest and the most beautiful heart a person could have, with a vibrant soul to match. He loved being outside, meeting new people, and spreading joy wherever he went. He appreciated all the little things in life, especially if it had to do with his daughter.
Every moment he had with his daughter meant the world to Chris, and he made sure to always show it. He always put in the extra effort and love for Mia, he did everything for her from caring for her every need, turning frowns into smiles, teaching her things he had loved to do in his own childhood, like rollerskating and riding bikes. Always attending her gymnastic practice, making sure she felt supported in anything she wanted to do. There was not a moment she spent with her father in which she ever felt unsafe or unloved and we know he will continue to watch over her as her guardian angel.
A father like you is rare, one that's so generous, smart and one of a kind. A father like you is what everyone needs, full of smiles and laughter, always doing great deeds. A father like you who was so understanding of others, and saw the good in anyone and everyone. Nothing could ever replace a father like you, but when you get to heaven, God will be lucky to have an angel like you.
Christopher will be deeply missed by his Daughter Mia; Mother Jennifer DelSavio of Wooster; Father David Shafer of Cleveland; Brother Nabeel; Sister Amira; Step-Father Issa Abu Al Habil Grandmother Mary Markley; Uncles Jason Markley, Gary DelSavio and Kevin DelSavio; Aunt Linda (Tom) Cowen, Gia (David) Schlabaugh; Grandfather Joe Matzelle; and many cousins, extended family, and friends.
