Clara Koon

Clara “Joyce” Koon, 77, of Marietta, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

Joyce was born October 21, 1944 in Coeburn, Virginia to Albert and Amy Hamm.

She married Larry Koon on May 20, 1966.

Joyce was a member of the O’Neill Senior Center and she loved when her kids and grandkids were around. She enjoyed hummingbirds and watching gameshows.

Joyce will be deeply missed by her husband Larry; children Valerie (Jim) Wright and Lucinda (Jim) Parker; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers and three sisters.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her son Matthew Koon; five brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call Friday, May 20th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-East Lawn Chapel, 27880 St. Rt. 7, Marietta.  Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Park.   Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.   Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist with arrangements.
