Clarence F. (Jack) Jackson, 79, of Greenwich, died Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Ohio Health, in Mansfield.
Clarence was born March 24, 1936 in Clarington, Ohio to Lawrence M. and Bertha A. {Carpenter} Jackson.
Clarence served in the United States Army as a paratrooper.
He married Janet Longden on February 6, 1960. She passed away on June 21, 2012.
Clarence retired from United Telephone (Sprint) where he worked for over two decades. He enjoyed volunteering for Crestview Athletic Boosters and Savannah Youth League. Clarence loved to stay busy by working outside, visiting local sporting events and watching all of his favorite sports teams.
Clarence will be deeply missed by his children Jackie Longden of Greenwich, Bev Roberts and Lori Kennedy both of Mansfield, Tina (Ryan) Young of Ashland, and Connie (Tim) Shepherd of Shiloh; grandchildren that he helped raise, Rachel (Jared) Hoffer, Mandy (Ben) Hopkins and Derek Jackson; grandchildren Brittany, Brandi, Breanna and Bethanie Merritt, Adam Young , Heather (Cody) Mabry, Tabby (Justin) Sexton, Nathan and Kayla Shepherd; 21 great-grandchildren; brothers Richard Jackson and Walter Jackson; sister Olive Straquadine.
Clarence was preceded in death by his wife Janet of 52 years, son Charlie Leibolt, brothers Charles and Lawrence, sisters Geneva, Genevieve, Dorcas and Rosetta.
