Clarence Thacker

February 24, 1942 — April 11, 2017

Clarence "C.W." Thacker, 75, of Rittman, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday April 11, 2017.
Clarence was born February 24, 1942 in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada to Robert and Mary {Bruce} Thacker.
He married Linda Bowsher Petroff on January 7, 2006 and she was the joy of his life.
Clarence was a proud Free and Accepted Mason and a member of the Widows Sons Masonic Riders Association. Clarence loved his Harley Davidson, his John Deere tractor and beating up on his boys in a good round of golf.
Clarence was very proud of his 38 years of sobriety and loved his volunteer work for prisons and other organizations.
Clarence will be deeply missed by his wife Linda of 12 years; children; Wally (Cathie) Thacker; Dorothy (Terry) Heddle, Tammy (Randy) Kaler, Marla Thompson, Kelly (Steve) Gibson, Clint (Amy) Petroff; grandchildren Courtney, Aleesha, Tyler, Brett, Melissa, Keanan, Lexi, Marissa, Jonathyn, Courtney (Jimmy), Emiley (Tommy), Hannah (Cody), Mackenzie, and Samantha; great-grandchildren Lukas, Olivia, Scarlett, Harper, and Carson and his sister Virginia.
Clarence was preceded in death by his first wife Sylvia and sisters Vivian and Shirley.
Friends may call April 14, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, Seville. Funeral services will be immediately following at 12 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood Foundation, www.AHCKids.org.
