He enjoyed hunting and anything that had to do with the outdoors. Clyde was always willing to teach his knowledge and passion of archery to anyone that wanted his advice and expertise. He won a trip of a lifetime to Africa where he captured a kudu and a wild boar, which he proudly displayed in his game room.
Amongst many organizations he was involved with, Clyde was most proud of his Lifetime Membership in IBO. He was also a Charter member of the Wayne County Archery Club, was the Bow Hunting Director for the Ohio Archers Association in 1994, a member of the North American Hunting Club, Ohio Bow Hunting Association, Ohio Bow Hunting Association and was State Representative for the International Bow Hunting Organization since 1996. He was a member of both of these State and International organizations for over 25 years.
Clyde enjoyed vacationing in Las Vegas visiting his daughter and grandchildren. On his last trip he was able to take a helicopter ride through the Grand Canyon. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his family and Yorkies, Ollie and Hunter, which were his boys.
Clyde will be deeply missed by his children Bev (Chris Armentrout) Tompkins and Carolyn (Jon) Black both of Wooster and Brenda Snyder of Las Vegas; grandchildren Alison Keiner, Jason Hinton, Nicholas Snyder, Heather Black, Jesse Hinton and Lindsay Workman; great-grandchildren Tyler, Zachary and Kyle Hinton, Nathan and Dustin McKinney, and Harper and Kash Workman; great great-grandson Logan Hinton; brothers Chuck (Sharon) Hinton of Wooster and Will “Wib” (Dorothy) Hinton of Napoleon; sister Connie Highman of Ravenna; numerous nephews, cousins and a niece.
