Clyde William Owen, 79, of Wooster, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Meadowview Health & Rehabilitation Center, in Seville.
Clyde was born April 29, 1941 in Marietta, Ohio to Harold Lewis and Mary Opal {Grey} Owen.
He graduated in 1959 from Dexter City High School.
He married Sandra Shinabarker on November 19, 1963.
Clyde worked for Landmark Grain Elevator for 26 years and then drove truck for 13 years Fed Ex Custom Critical with his wife. He was a member of the Wooster Moose and the Knights of Pythias. Clyde enjoyed hunting, camping, bowling, traveling and he enjoyed drinking Black Velvet with his buddies.
Clyde will be deeply missed by his wife; children Kathy (Jeff) Slater of Wooster, Patty Weiser of Wooster; grandchildren Joseph (Sharon) Slater, Clifton Slater, and Autumn (John Sisler) Slater; great-grandchildren Austin and Hunter Slater, Lillian Slater and Abigail Sisler.
Clyde was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
A celebration of life service will take place at a later date. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
