Colt Darling

Colt James Darling, 13, of Ashland, died Friday, July 26, 2019 at Rainbow Babies, in Cleveland.

Friends may call Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel, Ashland.  There will be the Colt James First Annual Memorial Fishing Derby Friday at 4 p.m. at the Ashland County Wildlife Conservation League. Colt was born October 27, 2005 in Mansfield, Ohio to Derek Darling and Starla {Phillips} Thomas.

Colt had a heart for God and blessed every person he met. His passion was fishing, family, working on tractors and motorcycles and mostly being outdoors.

Colt will be deeply missed by his parents Starla (Tim) Thomas of Ashland, Derek Darling of Nova; sister Kathryn Darling; brother Nathan Thomas; uncle Josh (Sara) Phillips of WV; cousins Broc, Cooper and Haylee Phillips; grandparents Kathy (Frank) Phillips of Ashland, Dana Darling of Nova; beloved dog Emma; great aunt Ruth (Ron) Deaton; great uncle JR (Pam) Gibons and Drew (Tracey) Darling; and many aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss him deeply.

Colt was preceded in death by his uncle Owen Phillips and grandparents Virgil Phillips, Joeann (Lloyd) Gibbons.

Colt preformed his final heroic act by donating his organs so that the lives of other would be saved.
