Constance “Connie” Reese passed away peacefully at Riverside Nursing Home, McConnelsville, Ohio, on December 11, 2024. She was born the 7th of 12 children to Roland and Cecile Gagnon on November 28, 1934, in Milbury, Massachusetts. She is preceded in death by five brothers-Roger Gagnon, Norman Gagnon, Andy Gagnon, Paul Gagnon, and Pete Gagnon; three sisters-Jacqueline Plante, Jeanne Johnson, and Susan Gagnon ; her husband Daniel “Tim” Reese, and son Daniel “Timmy” Reese. She is survived by three sisters – Lorraine Thomas of Longmeadow, Mass., Rachel Fry, Southwick, Mass., and Mariette Demarest, Sacramento, Calif., and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her daughter Susan Berry, Fleming, Ohio; granddaughter Jan Myers (Ben), Easley, South Carolina; granddaughter JoEllen Berry, Pendleton, South Carolina; great granddaughter Rhys Myers, Easley, South Carolina, and two step great granddaughters, Megan Myers, Brooklyn, New York, and Emmey Johnson (Ethan) of Suffolk, England.
She was a 1953 graduate of North High School, Worcester, Massahusetts. She married Daniel Timothy Reese on Augst 20, 1955, in the aftermath of the devastating hurricane Diane and flooding in Rutland, Massachusetts. Connie was a homemaker, great mom and grammy, great cook, lousy driver, and excellent clothing designer and seamstress. She never lost her New England accent and was a lifelong Boston Red Sox fan. She was known for her quick wit, funny sayings and quotes, and sardonic sense of humor. So, Connie, “Can’t everyone be perfect like us” and “Here’s to us, none better!”
According to her wishes, there will be no local services at this time. A Gagnon family remembrance/celebration of her life and reunion will be held in the summer of 2025 in Massachusetts.
