Cora Elizabeth Marcum, 98, of Placerville, California, died Thursday, December 20, 2012 in her home.
Friends may call January 2 from 1 to 2p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Services will be January 2 at 2p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Lawson officiating. Cora was born November 29, 1914 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Augustus and Lillian {Wright} Troscher.
She married Vernon Marcum October 3, 1931. He died August 6, 1984.
Cora worked at Apple Creek Development Center. She enjoyed sewing and playing bingo.
Cora will be deeply missed by her children Janet Atkins of Placerville, CA, Faye (Guerin) Henry of Cincinnati, Vernon "Bud" Marcum of Glencoe, KY, daughter-in-law Janet Marcum; 14 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 31 great-great-grandchildren.
Cora was preceded in death by her husband Vernon, a son Howard, sister Gussey Gyer, and a brother Warren Troscher.
