Dan Blankenship, 65, of Ashland, died Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Ohio Health Mansfield Hospital.
Dan was born April 29, 1951 in Mansfield to Edgar and Lizetta {Smith} Blankenship.
He married Rita Streit on February 10, 1973.
Dan retired from Caraustar after 20 years. In his younger years, Dan enjoyed camping and boating. He loved to spend time with his family.
Dan will be deeply missed by his wife of 44 years; children Chris (Kevin) Meeting of Ashland, Melinda (Darrell) McRae of Delaware and Brian (Leslie) Blankenship of Ashland; grandchildren Kameron, Mackensi, Morgan and Madison Meeting, Addilyn and Bryce Blankenship, Brooklyn McRae; sister Wanda (Dave) Stone of Kentucky.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Kristal.
Friends may call Monday from 2 to 3 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel, Ashland. Services will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park.
