Dana Brooks

Services for Dana Brooks are rescheduled for Sunday, December 12 at 2pm at Roberts Funeral Home - Sherwood Chapel, Wooster.

Dana W. Brooks, 85, of Wooster, died Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at West View Healthy Living, in Wooster.

He was born May 9, 1936, in Wooster to Cecil W. and Myrtle E. {Sigler} Brooks. He married Virginia M. Kratzer on September 21, 1957. She survives.

Dana worked for the US Postal Service, operated Brooks’ Drive-In restaurant with his wife, and returned to the USPS to finish his career.

He served as a Trustee for Wooster Township for 24 years and was a member of the First Church of God. Dana enjoyed playing Bridge and, along with his wife, earned the status of Life Master. He also enjoyed playing golf, bowling, and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

Dana will be deeply missed by his wife of 64 years, Virginia; children Denise (John) Retherford of Jeromesville, Deann Markle of Ashland, Dana II (Tammy) of Wooster, and Danette (Chris) Bartholomew of Bayfield, CO; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and a brother Larry (Linda) Brooks of Wooster.

Dana was preceded in death by a son Darl, infant brother Donald Brooks and sister Judy Hill.

Services will be Sunday, December 12 at 2pm at Roberts Funeral Home- Sherwood Chapel, Wooster with Pastor Arnie Kaufman officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster.
