Dana Elmer Butts

Dana E Butts, 92, of Marietta, passed away Friday, May 10, 2024 at Harmar Place.

Dana was born September 28, 1931 in Marietta to Hobert and Emma Butts.

He graduated from Marietta High School in 1949. Dana was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

He married Patricia A. Duvall on May 14, 1952.  

Dana retired from Union Carbide/ Amoco in 1993 after 37 years. He attended Evergreen Bible Church and was always very active in church. He enjoyed camping and fishing with friends and family. Dana was an avid fan of The Ohio State Football and Basketball.

Dana will be deeply missed by his children Kris (Chuck) Vaughan and Steve (Suzanne) Duvall; grandchildren Stephanie Vaughan and Chuck (Zhenya) Cotita; great granddaughter Alexis Vaughan.

In addition to his parents, Dana was preceded in death by his wife Patricia; daughter Karen Butts and brother Charles Butts.

Friends may call Tuesday, May 14^th from 5 to 8 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-East Lawn Chapel, 27880 St. Rt. 7, Marietta.  Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Thibault officiating.  Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Park.
