Danny Reed

Danny Ray Reed, 64, of North Lawrence, died Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at Wooster Community Hospital.

Friends may call one hour prior to the 11am services Friday at Roberts Funeral Home – Sherwood Chapel, Wooster with his nephew Pastor Larry Patterson officiating.  Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.   Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pregnancy Care Center, 331 W. Danny was born at home during a snowstorm on April 4, 1957, in Beaver County, PA to Donald Wesley and Mildred Lena {Arnott} Reed.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Massillon Baptist College.

Danny married Sandy Bishop on August 22, 1981. She survives.

He worked for Demmer Hardware in Massillon for over 30 years, and recently worked for Walmart in North Canton. He attended Wooster Grace Church. Danny enjoyed biking, kayaking, and hiking with Sandy, and working in his workshop.  He loved traveling with Sandy, having visited 48 of the 50 United States as well as parts of Canada. Danny was one of the kindest men who never spoke poorly of anyone.  He loved the Lord and his family, especially his grandchildren.

Danny will be deeply missed by his wife of 40 years, Sandy; son Ryan (Sarah) Reed of Dalton and their children Ava and Samuel, daughter Megan Reed and her family of Nelsonville; brother Roy (Vicki) Reed of Cedar Hill, TX and sister Sarah Patterson of Strongsville.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Donald Reed Jr.
