Darla A. Wright

Our beloved mother Darla Ann Wright, 60, of Wooster, passed away unexpectedly on May 15, 2023 at her residence. Darla was born May 1, 1963 in Georgia to William and Rose {Black} Ewing.  She worked for several years as a crisis worker, assisting those who were suffering from mental or behavioral health concerns.  Darla had a genuine desire to help others.

Darla was married to John Wright who preceded her in death.  She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Wooster. She had incredible artistic talent, doated on her daughters and grandchildren, and loved her animals. She was happiest spending time with her family.  Lincoln said “All I am and all I hope to be, I owe to my mother.” My sister and I can say the same about our mother. 

Darla will be deeply missed by daughters Darlene (Dennison) Sparks of Newark and Andrea (Paul) Galovic of Massillon; grandchildren Brian Irving and Marisah Sparks; brothers Robert (Valerie) Ewing, and Wilber (Dee) Ewing; sister Brenda Ewing.  Darla was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
