Darlene Vivian Walker

Darlene Vivian Walker, born on October 22, 1948, in Parkersburg, WV, passed away in Columbus, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Betty Montgomery, and siblings Gary and Valerie Montgomery.

Darlene is survived by her husband, Oris Walker of Belleville; son Rick Mendez of Columbus, Ohio; daughter Katy Walker , and grandchildren Lily, WB, and Myah of Little Rock, Arkansas. She is also survived by her sister, Linda Blankenship, and nephew Jordan Blankenship of Parkersburg, WV. Additionally, she leaves behind niece Robin (Kenny) Nichols, nephew Trey Nichols, and great-nephew Harlan Nichols of Washington, WV, as well as stepchildren and step-grandchildren.

A proud graduate of Parkersburg High School (1966) and Mountain State College, Darlene was a dedicated member of Zion Baptist Church. She had a passion for gardening and found joy in nurturing her plants and flowers.

Darlene will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
