Darralynn Garman Hurley, 52, of Loudonville died Monday June 17, 2013 at Summa Akron City Hospital, after an extended illness. She was born in Ashland November 28, 1960 and was the daughter of Chester R. and Mary E. (Andrews) Garman. She was a 1979 graduate of Ashland High School where her love of music flourished while playing in the high school orchestra. She was an accomplished violinist having played and taught lessons for over 20 years. One of her favorite accomplishments was playing in the annual Loudonville American Legion Annual Show for over 15 years. She was a member of the Loudonville American Legion Post 257 Auxiliary, Loudonville Eagles Auxiliary 2275, and attended the Perrysville Baptist Church. Darralynn enjoyed collecting elephants, listening to, playing or teaching music, and following the Cleveland Indians.
She is survived by her husband Jon Hurley, whom she married September 20, 2008, one son Michael Cain of San Diego CA, one daughter, Hanna Cain of Loudonville, her mother Mary Garman of Ashland, two sisters Lori (Mike) Leach of West Lafayette, OH, and Cindy (Tim) Neely of Upper Arlington, OH. She was preceded in death by her father Chester Garman on April 8, 1998.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday June 22, 2013 at Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel with the Reverend Howard Burnett officiating.
