Dave Wynn

David A. Wynn, 74, of Shreve, died Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Ohio’s LifeCare Hospice, in Wooster.

A celebration of life service will be Saturday, March 20 at 11am at Grace Church with Pastor Nick Cleveland officiating.  Friends may call from 10 to 11 am at the church. Dave was born September 20,1946 in Ashland to James and Maxine {King} Wynn.

Dave graduated from Mapleton High School in 1964. He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.

He married Jackie Butler on November 28, 1986.  She survives.

Dave was a machinist, retiring from Akron Brass.  Dave was an active member of Grace Church volunteering in the Student Ministries and serving others. He and Jackie were members of the Caring Therapy Canines with their therapy dog Maxine.  He enjoyed Trap and Still Silhouette shooting as a member of Broken Lock and Tusco Rifle Club.  He was also a member of the NRA.  Dave also enjoyed playing Santa Claus for community children.

David is survived by his wife, Jackie; brother Norman (Eleanor) Wynn of Ashland; in-laws Jack and Jane Butler, sister-in-law Jennie (Jeff Conley) Butler; niece Maggie Butler; nephew Kevin (Joie) Wynn; great niece Melissa (Clint) Hackney; great-great niece Amelia Hackney; special friends Mike Porter, Andy Kuntz, and Neil Scott.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Betty Bull and Virginia Adams.
