David L. Chaney, 67, of Wooster, died Sunday, December 8, 2013 at his residence.
Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 am at the funeral home with Chaplain Bob Grover officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to LifeCare Hospice at 2525 Back Orrville Road, Wooster, Ohio 44691.
David was born March 15, 1946 in Wadsworth, OH to Barney and Agatha {Runfolla} Chaney.
David graduated from Wadsworth High School.
He married Kathy (Hampe) on September 2, 1989. They were married for 24 years.
David worked Goldsmith and Eggleton for 35 years. He enjoyed drawing, painting and going to classic car shows.
David will be deeply missed by his wife; children Danielle (George) Steele of Wadsworth, Niki (Ed) Sundling of Norton, Jeremy Rogers of Wooster and Charles (Wendy) Rogers Jr. of North Royalton; grandchildren Gabi Chaney, Lexi Steele, Tyler Sundling, Danielle and Matt Knox; great-grandchildren Bentley and Peyton Chaney; brothers Biggie Chaney and Jimmy Chaney both of Barberton; and his dear friend Al of Wooster.
David was preceded in death by his parents and step-son Josh Rogers.
