David A. Freeze Sr., 70, of Wooster, died Friday September 18, 2015 at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
Services will be Thursday at 12 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster with Pastor John Boggs officiating. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society at 721 E. Milltown Road Wooster, Ohio 44691.
David was born June 23, 1945 in Grafton, West Virginia to Melvin and Susie {Moore} Freeze.
He married Donna {Bateman} on March 22, 2001.
David retired from Korda Manufacturing in 2009. He was baptized at Parkview Christian Church in Wooster. David enjoyed spending his time outdoors, going fishing, camping and tending to his garden. He loved to spend time with his family, friends and his dog, Fritzy. David was known by his family and closest friends for that ornery twinkle in his eyes, that they all loved so much.
David will be deeply missed by his wife, Donna, of 14 years; children Teresa Netherton of Fostoria, Loretta (Paul) McCoy of Big Creek, WV and Jimmy (Kelly) Freeze of Orrville; step-sons Allen (Meghan) Stanley, Gregory (Shaunna) Stanley and Jeffrey (Amy) Stanley all of Orrville; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother Larry (Sherry) Freeze of PA; sisters Barbara (George) Nagy, Rosemary Gavinski and Violet Reidy all of PA; many nieces and nephews; dear friends John and Chris Bricker.
David was preceded in death by his parents, son David A. Freeze Jr., brothers Melvin "Bill" Freeze, Floyd Freeze and Robert "Bobby" Freeze.
