David Hersman

David H. Hersman, 71, of Wadsworth, died Wednesday, April 25, 2018 in Broadview Heights.

He was born July 19, 1946 in Barberton, Ohio to Lewis and Margaret {Knight} Hersman.

David graduated with a law degree from the University of Akron. He served in the Vietnam War as a member of the U.S. Army.

He practiced law and management. David enjoyed the outdoors, including hunting, fishing, golf, archery, and loved spending time with his grandkids.

David will be deeply missed by his son, Benjamin Hersman; daughters Julie (Mark) Passamonti, Sarah (Aaron) Costic, Rachael (Ron) Smith-Boryk; grandchildren Garrett Passamonti, Russell Smith, Gabriella Passamonti; step-grandchildren Samantha Boryk and Alex Boryk; previous wife Charlene “Char” Hersman; sister-in-law Barbara Hersman; family friend Brad Smith, and many other loved ones.

David was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Michael Hersman, and his sister Nina “Colleen” Pierce.

Memorial services will be Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, Seville.  Burial will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, where military rites will be held.   Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
