David Hutchison

David R. Hutchison, 72, of Rittman, died Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Summa Akron City Hospital.

Friends may call Monday, August 2 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Chuck Walton officiating.  Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.

David was born May 24, 1949 in Woodsfield, Ohio to Robert Dow and Dorothy {Workman} Hutchison. He attended Rittman High School. After graduation, he attended the police academy.

He married Linda Walton on June 14, 1968. She survives.

David was an auto mechanic for Freed’s Ford for three years. He also worked at Orrville Products before starting with the police academy. He attended First Christian Church in Wadsworth where he attended regularly with his wife, Linda.

David will be deeply missed by his wife; children Roberta Burr, Jonathan A. Hutchison and Thomas T. Hutchison; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother James; and sister Violet Robertson.
